Un récit ŕ la limite du supportable des atrocités commises dans le ghetto de Varsovie. Bien des livres nous ont narrer l’histoire de cette ville mais ici Wladyslaw Szpilman raconte sa lutte désespérée de chaque jour dans cet enfer. Ce pianiste, qui plusieurs fois a frôlé la mort, demeure digne et humble tout au long de son récit, pas d’héroďsme inutile mais une vérité effrayante.
