Quel étrange roman. De ceux qui nous laissent une marque profonde et douloureuse. Le choix de Sophie est un chef d’oeuvre à tout égard. Historique (l’action se passe après guerre aux US), religieux et politique (affrontement des mondes juifs et sudistes -comprendre le sud des états unis et son passé klanesque), c’est avant tout une histoire d’amour peu commune où se mèlent indistinctement des émotions contrastées, des rires et des larmes, des peurs et des colères.
