C’est un livre fantastique, écrit par un auteur qui l’est tout autant. Au début, quand ma tante m’avait offert le premier tome de "à la croisée des mondes" (les royaumes du nord) je ne voulais pas le lire : je n’aimais pas la couverture. Mais une fois que je l’ai terminé , je me suis attaqué au deuxième tome. je lisais jusque très tard le soir car je n’arrivais même plus à m’en décoller !

Cette merveilleuse saga de trois volumes ( 1er vol : Les royaumes du Nord ; 2éme vol : La tour des anges ; 3éme vol : Le miroir d’ambre) narre la merveilleuse histoire de Lyra, une jeune adolescente dans un monde qui n’est pas s’en rappeler le nôtre. Accompagnée d’un jeune garçon à partir du deuxième volume, elle évolura et grandira puis sauvera des centaines d’enfants...
