Finalement, j’ai bien aimé ce livre. Et pourtant, j’ai failli l’abandonner en cours de route. Comme si l’ennui exprimé par certains des personnages me gagnait par empathie. Oui, m’ais j’avais envie de savoir comment il allait se sortir de ces histoires de famille.
Car, ce sont les histoires familiales qui collent aux objets, les objets qui gardent la mémoire comme la poussière, tenace, collante, impossible de s’en défaire. Si on les jette, ces foutus objets à mémoire, ils reviennent dans vos rêves. Et vous finissez par les chercher sur les foires à tout et autres vide grenier. Pour qu’on en finisse avec l’histoire du passé, qu’on se console et qu’on en invente une autre.
