Mais, parmi les écrivains qui font dans le fantastique, encore plus rares sont ceux qui ont su rendre hommage au « Solitaire de Providence » tout en restant fidèle à son univers. L’Ecossais Graham MASTERTON est de ceux-là, ce qui confère à son roman « Apparition » une saveur et une logique lovecraftiennes tout à fait exceptionnelles.
