Le narrateur, jeune homme un peu voire très déséquilibré (mais naturellement ce n’est pas ainsi qu’il se définit lui même), s’éprend d’une jeune fille croisée dans la rue. Il décide de la kidnapper et de lui apprendre à l’aimer. Au long des pages de ce roman sordide, les états d’âme du bourreau se comparent à ceux de la jeune fille qui se livre en cachette à quelques bouts de papier...
